About the Board
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a five-member board that hears petitions for Special Permits, Variances, Appeals, and those projects requiring Site-Plan Review.
Persons wishing to be heard by the ZBA need to accurately and completely fill out an application (available at Inspection Department or can be downloaded (PDF)) and submit it, together with all required information, proper number of copies and a check to the Town of Middleton for the prescribed fee, to the Building Commissioner to be reviewed for completeness. If complete, it will automatically be forwarded to the Town Clerk. Applications received and filed at the Town Clerk's office at least 30 days before the next meeting will be given priority; and by law, the required public hearing will be held within 60 days after the application is received. Additional information submitted during the review of any project is due 7 days before the next scheduled meeting.
