As cooler temperatures, higher relative humidity, and precipitation move in across Massachusetts, the extreme risk of outdoor fires spreading and growing quickly has declined significantly.
Because of these factors, the Middleton Fire Department will immediately lift the temporary outdoor fire restrictions.
A reminder that residents should still use extreme caution and common sense with any fire. The open burning season runs from January 15 to May 1, and residents must obtain a permit from the fire department before engaging in this activity.
