Public Meeting to discuss the replacement of the Maple Street Bridge over the Ipswich River
What is happening?
MassDOT will host a virtual (on-line) meeting to provide the community an opportunity to understand the proposed project. The Bridge is located on Maple Street (Route 62), between the side streets of Oak Street and Perkins Road (in Middleton) near the Danvers Town Line.
How will this affect you?
The proposed project includes the full replacement of the roadway bridge, The addition of a Trail bridge and paved trail adjacent to the road in the old Railroad right of way, and relocation of major utilities from the roadway bridge onto the trail bridge. The construction will be staged to keep one roadway lane in each direction open at all times and the trail bridge will be built first to allow pedestrian and bikes safe passage through the project area. MassDOT encourages all interested members of the community to attend and learn more about this project.
